How dark to tint?

Trying to decide on how dark to tint my jet black E90. I want more of a smoked look rather than a totally blacked out look. Anyone have pics of different tint levels? Can't decide between 30% or 50%.

Also, any suggestions of a good shop in the GTA?

I did 35% and it does not look dark enough.

Dark tint is a heat score with the fuzz. Can you tint side windows in Ontario now? When I lived there it was not allowed...

If you get pulled over for speeding -- you can guarantee you will never talk your way out of it with a tinted ride.

A light "smoked" look will probably be 35 or 50. It'll look darker on jet black. I have both 35 and 50 on my car.

Another vote for 30%

I had 30% all around on my previous jet black audi too. Never an issue with the police. I think 30% is borderline not worth police attention. Where as 20% looks DARK.

All tint is technically illegal if proven to obstruct or distort viewing.. But tint is rarely enforced UNLESS the driver acts like a %$#$... Then you can guarantee an example will be made of you. A "normal" driving person with respectable tint in tune with the type of car, in the right area ...will not be spoken to 99% of the time..So says some friends of mind

35% rear, 50% front. Hope this helps!

what color is your interior? if you have a black int, you can get away with a lighter tint like 50% and it will look slightly darker..

I have 35 on my Daily driver dodge caliber.. wish I went with 30 percent tho.

Im likeing the looks of the 30 percent on that black M3.. nice car

In toronto, Auto Links (Scarborough) is the best.

F1 Pinnacle ceramic tint - $320 + taxes - there is a group buy from e90post.com side and just talk to John to see if he can do yours for just under his regular price. I know they are fully booked for the next couple of weeks, therefore, you may have to wait until mid August, unless someone cancels their appointment.

15% all around for me. Not dark at all. Silver with black interior.

I got 40% right now, looks great. I had 50% before which I also liked. Make sure you get moleskin put on if you have a E90.
