Extended black or extended fox red with carbon fiber with Jerez E90?
Extended black with carbon leather may be too black/bland with Jerez?

Extended black adds a lot to the feel of quality because it adds stitching lines throughout the interior. It's the first thing my GF noticed about the interior of an extended black M3.
Jerez with black is one of the most bland colors, I've seen it in person. If you're going to go with Jerez go with an extended interior. One guy did rust brown interior with a slightly lighter (also individual) interior color and it's probably one of the nicest M3's made. Individual rust brown is only $3000 more than the normal extended interior I beleive http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7599716

What's the point of extended black?
IMO extended Fox red is the best color for M3, except maybe when the exterior is red.

I have fox red extended, but if I wanted black interior I'd still go extended.

Anyway, to the OP....I'd get extended FR. The extended black would certainly add a richer feel to the interior, especiallt the stitching and the soft touch feel, but the FR is a nice and unique color that would go great with Jerez, and would make the interior of the car as exciting as the exterior. |

I have black extended and its nice. I've grown to like it. I would swap it for red if I could.

Thanks All. I think I will switch my extended to Fox Red instead of black. There is a FR extended at a local dealer and will check it out first.

I have the Jerez, and I love it. But, it is dark blue, not black. If you put FR in it, you have a blue and red car. Some here have it and like it, but I'd never do it. If you want FR, go pure jet black. Just my 2 cents.

Go with what YOU like...
Everyone on the forums will have a different opinion. Not trying to be mean, but I really don't get the point of these "what should I get" threads. You get a bunch of "this is what I have" or "that is bland" or "so many people have that" and not one of those will help you make a decision. It's all personal preference in the end.

Saw it in person this morning. Not as red as comes across in pics, which I like. Getting it, end of story. However, my wife saw a 550ix M sport and now wants us to get that instead.

my brother has jerez/fr extended combo, and it looks great...pisses me off every time actually cause i have jerez/bb non extended (love the bb, just wish it was extended)...as for black extended, i'm not a huge fan...
i agree with/can confirm a couple points from previous posts -- jerez is more blue than black, and fr is more orange than red... |

FR Extended is the way to go. It creates a really nice contrast against Jerez. If FR was as red as Coral offered in the 3 series, I wouldn't have ordered it. It's not in your face bright. It remains classy and sporty at the same time.

I have extended black and yes, it's not really noticeable but it does "feel" nice. Ideally I would have preferred extended black with contrasting stitching.
If I had to do it again, I would try to see if I can get an individual interior with contrasting stitching (which includes the seats) like those special edition M3s. If not then I would do extended fox red instead. Either way I personally would still have choosen to go with extended no matter the color.

That was my concern. Pics generally make it look bright red. In person its quite nice and more subdued. I agree that the 1100 is worth it for any color extended, otherwise this car has too much cheap looking plastic for a 70+k car.
