Arcadia Highway - Roll Call
Arcadia Highway Roll Call
Schedule Feb 17th - Bremerhaven Feb 19th - Southampton MARCH 2nd - Brunswick, GA - Delayed 2 days per latest estimates Southeastern deliveries only apparently. I have a feeling this is going to be a lonely trip!

I can't believe it either. Not only no real delay but on a ship with its first USEC stop being my stop...they usually go to NY first.

It's odd your car hasn't made it to port yet. I would almost bet it's there and there's just some goof in the system.

It's been 10+ days so it must be there, I'm going to chalk it up to some delay in the Canadian tracking system. Faust leaves on 23rd and arrives in Halifax on March 7th, crossing my fingers I'm on that one.

arriving home
For the sake of those that may be in a similar situation later, I thought I'd close the loop on this and document what happened.
The boat left Bremerhaven for Brunswick, GA with a stop in Southampton along the way. Left Bremerhaven on Feb 17th Arrived at Southampton on Feb 19th Lost radio (AIS) contact around Feb 21st off the coast of France Went radio silent for TEN days w/o the ability to track the boat. Finally on the morning of arrival, March 2nd, it magically appears off the coast of Georgia. So, with Brunswick as the first USEC port of call, there is no travel down the US coast as there is with other destinations. Or, at least, in my case there wasn't.

And they turned off their AIS transponder ... haven't received positional updates for over 1.5 hrs...

The Arcadia Highway leads to the shadowy tip of reality: you're on a through-route to the land of the different, the bizarre, the unexplainable...Go as far as you like on this road. Its limits are only those of mind itself. Ladies and Gentlemen, you're entering the wondrous dimension of imagination. Next stop....

Okay I'm going crazy. I keep checking my phone to see if my CA has called. It's like I'm hoping some hot girl will return my call. I'm desperate!
Here's the deal. My boat docked at 6am on March 2nd (Wednesday) and just today around 1pm did my on-line tracker switch from "transit" to "vpc." I don't know if the on-line tracker is just delayed or if my car really just sat on the dock for 2 days before entering the VPC. Any guesses? I'm going nuts. I sooo want the car to be here tomorrow afternoon, but, my realistic side says I should be happy with Monday or Tuesday. I'm in Atlanta and it's about 5 hours from Brunswick. Any of you guys still waiting for a car should know that it just gets worse and worse. I carry my phone everywhere just in case! So chances of getting my car tomorrow? I'm putting it at 15% ... but I can dream. Maybe I should drive by the dealer just to see..... it's only stalking if you get caught

You've been lucky so far. It wouldn't surprise me if it rolled in tomorrow.
I think I took all the bad luck on our build week. My car is in route to Spain. I still have 10 days until I reach Port of Baltimore.

I would set up a web cam trained on the dealership lot and monitor it 24x7. That's not stalking, just being thorough

Just a little over two weeks from sailing! Not bad!
Congratulations! ...but don't you want to wait until Thursday to pick it up (rainy day in Atlanta tomorrow!)
