which meisterschaft exhaust system?

hey guys planning on ordering an exhaust system asap. i was looking at the meisterschaft exhausts and was wondering which is sounds the best. I have heard the gt2 in person and it sounds amazing!. I went to their site and saw they had a couple options. Please recommend me the best one:

1) MeistSUS- Touring HP (High Performance)
2) MeistSUS- GTS (Ultimate Performance)
3) MeistSUS- GT (Racing Performance)
4) MeistSUS- GT2 (Racing Performance)
5) Meist Titanium- GT2 (Racing Performance)
6) MeistSUS- GTC (EV Controlled)

also if i didnt want to weld or cut any stock pipes do i need any other sections? besides the exhaust itself?.. also how long do these take to arrive usually? and how much do body shops usually charge to put these on?

Is there any chance you might be interested in another brand? GT Haus is one of the more dishonest and ethically corrupt businesses I know of, and I hate to see people giving them business. A very decent company like IND has great product from Eisenmann and Akropovic and are very deserving of your business.

personally after dealing with GThaus and IND i wud say IND's cutomer service is impeccable and GThaus dun giv a crap about their customers. Next time i need anything im ordering from IND but i luv'd the tone of the meisterschaft thats y i waited for it . If you can get a meist from any other source go for it . The thing with eisenmann and akra is that they could be better in terms of performance but for sum1 who prefers loud exhausts i dont think they wud go for akra or eisenmann .

If you're not comfortable with cuts and welds, both Eisemann or Akrapovic systems are a great choice. I have the Akrapovic slip-ons myself and it's a really easy install with no irreversible modifications. They will just unbolt the stock mufflers (and the mid pipes if you go for the Evolution) and bolt on the exhaust. It sounds great and would definitely recommend the full evolution system if you can afford it. The Akra Evo + ESS Tune + MS filter and you're running 360whp.

I have never heard any MeistSUS exhausts but GT Haus has a very, very poor reputation on these boards for good reason. I'd recommend working with Alekshop and IND since I've worked with them personally but most of the vendors here on M3post are great and will provide great support should you run into any problems.

Everyone shits on gthaus, but noone can argue that the gt2 is the best sounding/looking (with the split-tips it looks insane) axle-back out there if you into a loud, exotic sounding m3.

Don't get Akrapovic it's VERY quiet, eisenmann is also a great choice but isn't as loud as meisterschaft.

The Eisenmann Race is about as loud as the GT Haus.

I will have to disagree.... I have the gt2 and my boy had eisenmann race and in both the looks and sound department mine takes the cake (even he admits it) ... Anyways rear section exhausts are based on personal preference so the OP should get what he likes best

Meisterschaft GTS

Hey, sorry fellas for jumping this thread. I have a Meisterschaft GTS (no x-pipe) I'm getting rid of. It's got less than 1 weeks worth of driving on it. I'd part with it for $1200 plus shipping if interested. It's a direct bolt-on, no cutting or welding. Took me about 2 hours to install by myself, very easy. Let me know! I think you'd be happy with the sound, if you're looking for a deep note.

Company ethics aside, sound wise The Gthaus systems are the best imo. I have the Full GT system and i love it. If sound is what you want the GT or GT2 system are where its at. Performance i would say rpi, gintani or akro

What's the DB level?

Here is the Eisenmann db levels. Any aftermarket company will have this info for the systems that they offer.

SPORT-Version:
moving vehicle = 75 db
stationary vehicle = 92 db at 6.225 1/min
value of backpressure = -25%

RACE-Version:
moving vehicle = apr. 95 db
stationary vehicle = apr. 102 db at 6.225 1/min
value of backpressure = apr. -32%

I'm also interested in the OP questions regarding different sound levels of Meisterschaft exhausts.

1. How much louder is the GT2 vs the GT? I love a refined exhaust note like an F430 and somewhat loud is ok with me but I'm getting to the age where I don't want everyone in the town to know I am driving down the street. If I can have a wail at full throttle but a more subdued cruising sound that would be ideal.

2. Anyone have any dyno tested before/after figures for the Meisterschaft systems? I'm concerned with such low HP figures out of this V8 that less back pressure at lower RPMs could actually rob HP. Any data to backup perf claims?

Anyone have a back to back sound clip of the GT vs the GT2? That would be great.

I really don't know why some people here are still making bad remarks about GT Haus. This thread was about wich model the op wanted to buy and not about the company's etics. Yes, they did a mistake in the past, but since they are now producing a good quality exhaust that is among the best or even the best sounding exhaust out there (if you are into loud of course) why should some people keep reminiding to everyone the mistakes they did. I think we should judge them in present time. I personally have the GT2 system on my car for one and a half years and the sound is amazing and also the build quality. I really don't know how is the customer service in this moment but at the time I bought mine it was top noch despite the long distance and shipping prices.

How much louder is the GT2 vs the GT vs Stock?

Or said another way, on a scale of 1 to 10.

Idle:
If Stock = 5
GT = ?
GT2 = ?

Mid RPM Cruising:
If Stock = 5
GT = ?
GT2 = ?

Full Throttle / High RPM:
If Stock = 5
GT = ?
GT2 = ?

I can tell you my opinion about the GT2. First of all my car is not my daily driver. The sound is a bit loud for a dd.
I changed your stock refference for a more better review.
Idle:
If Stock = 2
GT = ?
GT2 = 3.5

Mid RPM Cruising:
If Stock = 2
GT = ?
GT2 = 5.5 ( between 2500 - 3500 quite some drone )

Full Throttle / High RPM:
If Stock = 2
GT = ?
GT2 = 7.5 - 8.0

Hope this helps.
