Angry ARGH, 3 days old and chips on my rockers...

Effing sucks. Either someones shoes or from me when pulling the glovebox to install stuff... Only had like 4 people in the car so far, so Im assuming it was me.

Either way it sucks. Gonna try some touch up paint ASAP. Ugh

Clear bra that shit. Maybe not the rockers, but the rest of the car.

LA roads blow. It's like a third world country down there. It doesn't rain real rain, but it does rain rocks on the interstate.

P.S. Clear bra the bumper and the side skirts right behind the wheel wells if you don't want chips there. I cut some material and stuck it on there myself. It has to be replaced after every few months because that area gets beat up so badly. The area that gets chipped up gets worse with wider wheel/tire stances.

That sucks man, this happened on my 335 sedan as well. So when I got my E90 M3 I covered the entire length of the side skirt with paint protection film to prevent this. It was was of the first things I did.

That sucks.

I have some rock chips on my side panels as well. Car has about 5K miles though. I do have the OEM touch up paint but I'm probably going to go with Dr. Colorchip to fix those chips. Search "colorchip" in the forum and you'll find some users that have had positive results with it.

I totally empathize with you on this....I got a rock chip on my hood right at the beginning of the hump at around 3000 miles. I was pissed. Then I reminded myself that, "it's just a car, Focker. It's just a car." If we get mad at all the little things and dings that happen to our car, we'll never get to enjoy it. Use some touch up paint or whatever and get back to enjoying your brand new baby!!! Once you've touched up the paint no one will even notice. All they'll see is, "Mmmmmm....M3"

That's not bad Jaime, but trust me, you should look into a clear bra asap. I am AMAZED at how quickly I got a bunch of rock chips on my hood and front bumper. The 101 fwy is a joke!

You're not going to be happy with touchup paint. Looks like you have a non-metallic color (white??). Easy to have a body shop just spot blend it in - you'll feel better and it won't cost much. Do it.
