Cycle Drive for Smog

Sooooo…Im having trouble clearing my CAT code for smog.

Its the last code that I need. Any help!?
I tried the whole 2.5 min cold start-Ac max-defrost, cruise for 20mph for 10 mins then freeway 55mph or below 3000rpm for 30 mins. Pulled over and let idle for 5 mins but still wont clear.

Any other way you guys tried clearing?

TIA!

sometimes it takes multiple drive cycles, sometimes you have hardware problems, o2 sensors, possible tune, its not hard to figure out.

Try a lot of lift and coast. Drive 50-60mph on the highway then lift and coast for as long as you can off an off ramp. That's usually the key I find to setting all the monitors.

For cat and o2 cycles, I beleive that's the one where you want to drive around 50mph with RPMs below 3,000 for a while. I go to the freeway early morning or night and camp in the slow lane for like 10 miles.

You can google the drive cycles. Honestly, if nothing's wrong with your car, after flashing the stock tune or undoing the battery or clearing codes, the car will set the monitors itself after a couple days of easy driving.

if it's not setting, you have a problem like bad o2s.

OP, how old are your O2 sensors? Once these get lazy, it's hard for the routine to pass. I would suggest trying new O2 sensors if you haven't already.

In ISTA you can run the CAT efficiency test. But it takes a long time, and the CATs do get hot running this test stationary.
