Bmw G02 - highway steering correction

Hey everyone, I have a 2019 x4 m40i and it drives great but once I get the highway speeds, I’m always having to correct the steering wheel.

My tires are good, I already got an alignment and everything is perfect. The only background information I have is the last owner drove the car with a bit of aggressive spacers to give it a nicer stance.

Once I bought the car, I didn’t want those so I’m running the wheels just as OEM with no spacers. Could that have caused any extra wear for maybe related to this issue of the car wandering side to side at highway speeds?

The previous owner must have used non-OEM (longer) bolts. Make sure your wheels sit firmly on the hubs.

He did, he has spacers and longer bolts. He removed them when I bought the car and put the OEM bolts back on with the wheels.

Like G01, this cars are NOT stable on the road. Need constant minor corrections. On nonrunflats a bit less, but still present. Needs constant focus on the road.

Not related to G series but my F87C never felt stable above 80mph.

My F87 is as solid as a rock up to 145 mph. (On a track not public roads).

I just feel like at normal highway speeds I have to always be correcting it. My wife has a m340i and that thing is dead center smooth on the highway

It is weird, huh? Above 100mph I felt totally disconnected from the road which was not a good feeling.

This must be the price of incompetent tuning: springs, dampers, multimedia.
