Cleaning OEM M3 Perf Exhaust E9x

Can anyone let me know any suggestions on how to clean the "soot" or carbon buildup on the exhaust tips. I have tried Flitz metal cleaner with the mothers power cone attached to my drill. This is the best I could get, see picture. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve seen people have good results with barkeepers friend. I picked up a bottle to try it in the spring.

Thank you will try - I am almost at the point to try the old sos pads and then try to polish the tips with the Flitz.

I use Nevr-Dull on the standard exhaust with pretty good success.

Thats not soot. There is black paint inside the tips when new. Although seems like most of yours has come off.

You may be right - looks like the it could also be the polished nickel alloy but in any event, I will try the bar keeper's friend.
