Hey everyone. I have a weird issue going on with my DCT.
‘08 with an ESS625 at 106,000 miles. GTS flash, upgraded trans mounts. Single piece drive shaft. Just serviced a couple thousand miles ago with Redline fluid, new filter and fluid pump. I checked the fluid level twice and it is full. On Wide Open Throttle the transmission will skip gears. M mode with traction control turned off. Drivelogic S5. Doesn’t matter if I do a 2nd or 3rd gear pull it will still skip and make a loud bang. If I put it in S4 it does not skip gears and shifts really smooth. I was thinking the clutch but if I do not feel any slipping if I put it in a high gear and floor it. Driving normally everything shifts fine. It is clunky and noisy but is expected with the stiffer trans and engine mounts. No transmission errors or codes Has anyone had this issue before? What was the cause? Thank you

skipping gears is usually never a good sign. flash the mechatronic back to stock and re test it. If the skipping continues theres going to be a code in there for sure, could be a gear rod, temp sensor, overheat, a range of issues but it would be more ideal to diagnose it before you go throw a new gearbox in there.
