Cowbell noise, going to replace CSB - did someone mention preload?

I'm gonna replace the central support bearing in an attempt to resolve the cowbell noise in my car:

I'm watching videos to get tips about the service, and stopped by this one that mentions a preload procedure at 4:24:

Does that apply to the M3 driveshaft? If so, how is it done, cause I couldn't get by the video?
