Best sounding axleback pair to AA X-Pipe?

Hey folks! Wanted to post on here for some opinions from others who are running AA X-Pipes. My X pipe is catless and is currently paired to a Gintani Race axleback, and it is way too droney and loud.

Looking to change up the axleback, aside from the obvious answer of getting an AA exhaust to pair with the x pipe, I was wondering if anyone else has paired different exhausts to AA xpipes and if any thoughts/sound clips out there?

Thanks in advance.

I have the AA catless with the Corsa rear and I think it sounds incredible. In my opinion there is no drone..

The Corsa is a bit more tame as far as volume but it screams at WOT/high RPM. The tone, specially cruising just above 3k rpm, is awesome.

I can't say I've tried a bunch of axle-backs. I put the Corsa on and had no interest in trying other setups.

Do you have any sound clips?

No, sorry! Next time I have the car out I'll get a couple shorts.

There was a YouTube video of a AA/Corsa setup (years ago) but I can't find it now.

Were you able to get around to making a video?

The best sounding axelback, hands down, is a valved system. Depending on your configuration in front of the axelback will dictate your exhaust note. So, “best sounding” is subjective. This means that if you’re rocking test pipes, straight pipes, or stock hardware that connects to your axel back, a valved system will be the best sounding. At the click of a button, you can turn off all of the rowdiness.

The next decision is electronic of valved—and the answer (drum roll) vacuum actuated valves. Longevity and durability is the short answer.

The next step is cost. A proper valved system is pricey, and that’s not even including installation. Here’s what I’ve found if you’re in the LA area. This is the exact description I mentioned for 1600 includes installation which is dumb-cheap compared to 2-3k for the exact same system from elsewhere. I’m rocking it on mine with test pipes and stock mid-section, and it’s glorious. Super rowdy when open, which is 99.9 percent of the time, and stock quiet when the valves are closed. To me, that’s as good as it gets. Hanging with yo boys or driving the lady to the grocery store. It has both modes.

I’ll put up a sound clip later today.

Corsa is the best sounding axleback at any price and paired with any midpipe.

My build was AA test mid pipe/test pipes with corsa axle back. Enjoyed it throughly. Then my indie convinced me to slap on the Meisterschaft GT2…. What a difference. If you’re looking for a classic brutal, menacing muscle car sound. GT2 is where it’s at. It’s nasty. That being said. The corsa is most definitely a proper option as well imo.
