Tire Pressures Thread
Hey guys, I just wanted to report my findings here.
I use OEM Size/tire. Michelin Pilot SuperSport 19/245/35 front and 19/265/35 rear, used in stock 359m wheels. I currently use 28psi front and 29psi rear. Coming off a 20 min session from lime rock I am at 35psi front and 36psi rear, but there is quite a bit of variation from left tire to right since the track is all right hand turns except one! For this I recommend swapping tires every other session to keep wear even. I may need to drop pressure as a push harder and get faster, I currently run a 1:03 but definitely have room for improvement. Most notably under braking when the car tends to get unstable Feel free to leave your pressures and specs down below! |

Swapping tires between every session is a lot of work! Not to mention you are torquing lugs or studs hot which can stress the metals. If the goal is tire longevity then dial in camber and invest in a square wheel/tire set up so you can rotate diagonally. 35/36psi sounds about right. 1.03 is a respectable time at LRP. It's a super technical track. |
