New Carbon Fiber Plenum from EAE

Hey guys, just saw this on someone's Facebook group post about a carbon fiber plenum from EAE Lab. The design and pictures they have look pretty sweet. It's nice to see other options in the market and I think it's amazing that there are companies out there focusing on the older platform models. Would be interesting to see the price and how they come out.

Looks pretty cool, hopefully we get some sound clips and Dyno results if they are claiming performance gains.

No clue. Website only mentions this when you're signing up for the waitlist.

"Pricing will be very competitive with the market but currently it is to be determined! We will announce pricing soon."

Do the various plenum upgrades really change performance that much or is it all looks? Ive always been curious.

All looks.

Their price will need to be substantially less to be in the market and for folks to not buy the most popular brand.

For the most part, just about all of the ones on the market are identical to a stock plastic plenum. As such they add zero performance but due to their thinner design the induction noise is much louder. Some people really like this and are willing to pay serious $$$ for it.

Haimus Racing has a new plenum design that actually changes some of the internals and they claim it does in fact add power. Thus far the dyno results I have seen tend to bear this out but with a corresponding loss of torque. I would be willing to bet with a proper tune and other improvements (exhaust, intake, etc.) it could add a decent amount.

EDIT: I read it wrong, no loss of torque, sorry.

Where have you seen dynos that showed a loss in tq?

I think it's all looks. Some of the plenums say they offer performance gains if you combine it with an intake though. So I'm curious what this company is going to provide.

I'd be interested to see the new design and how much additional power it makes. It would be very enticing to see the Dyno charts on that. And I also wonder why the loss of torque is occurring as well.

Definitely an interesting research topic right there lol

I haven't seen it. I thought tbuck said it which is why I mentioned it. I haven't seen any Dyno charts resembling the loss of tq! Sorry for the confusion.

I misspoke, I must have read the dynograph wrong. The following is the only dyno of the Haimus I have seen. Looks like both went up a little.

Correct, there have been 2 to 3 independent dynos showing positive results.

EAE Lab posted a few pictures of their aluminum velocity stacks/trumpets. Looking to be coming along very nicely. What do you guys think?
