Overheating on track
Hey all,
I drive my E92 M3 on the Nurburgring, a 21km long track with a lot of height variations. When ambient temp is over 75 Fahrenheit, my E92 runs really hot. Max oil temp: 275f Max water temp: 235f I have already upgraded the cooling system with: - Larger M4 GT4DCT oil pan - Upgraded DCT cooler - Do88 water cooler - Do88 engine oil cooler - Vented hood for increased airflow - Oil diverter valve delete I am running 10w60 redline oil and demineralized water with 10% Redline water wetter. Engine is high mileage, 206.000km / 140k miles, but runs healthy Any clues or ideas what I can do to bring temperatures down? I understand the car might run hot at 90f+ ambient, but at 75... Maybe you have a bad water pump or something blocking some water flow. At 75* with those upgrades it shouldn't even flinch.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately there is no ethanol available here. Waterpump inspected, it's the OEM one but it has no play and all scoops intact. Removed water Thermostat today, no improvement.

Maybe a leak down test would shed some light considering the 140k miles?

Make sure your climate control isn't on recirculation, turn the heater on, turn the blue dot to red and divert heat and blower to the passenger side for an immediate fix.
Replace your radiator and water pump for new OEM. |

Is the AC condenser clogged with debris or the space between the radiator and the AC condenser full of debris? I'll assume the radiator is clean...
