Best place to sell my car..

Of course I would like to maximize the exposure, however my car will have a greater appeal to the true E9x M enthusiast. I will likely do an official FS thread here in the appropriate section if I make up my mind.

A car with similar mods but with only 3500 miles (mine has 23K) went for big money on cars and bids. Perhaps I should try there or BAT? Thoughts?

The car is a street only weekend toy, never seen the track, Never beaten on, no accidents, no paint work, just turned 23k miles, All original parts are boxed up and itemized (except wheels), all receipts. oil changes excessively. The car is 10/10 inside and out.

My car is a 2010 6MT

Mods:
-BE rod bearings / ARP bolts (done at 20xxx miles)
-Forgestar F14 SDC 19x10 ET20 ,19x11 ET27 MPS4 275/295
-Ohlins R&T CO's
-ESS VT2-625 (blue injectors)
-Brembo BBK 380f
-Challenge catted mid pipe
-2 3/4 exhaust mod
-Bimmerretrofit rear view camera
-LCI tails
-etc..

Looks so sick, wet almost.. I think there's enough of a FI fan base on the forum to fetch a fair price.. always loved your take on your car, curious on where you're going next? Cheers.

Thank you sir! I still love the car and will likely get flamed for this however I think I want a M2C. I am going to take one out on Monday, perhaps it will solidify how I feel. I have an opportunity to get the last allocation for a car I can actually fully configure. I think it might be cool to have one of the last production M2C's ever. I thought about an M2CS, however at $100K there is just no way.

M2 is a cool car and probably the only successor to the e92M3 from the perspective of driving dynamics and feel.

BaT seems to prefer low mileage stock cars so I would put it back to stock and then list it there. Big money chasing them. The modded e9XM3 and/or with higher mileage on BaT doesnt seem to provide a $$$ premium compared to
just listing here or autotrader or cwrs.com or wherever....but i'm not an expert just an observer.

She's a beauty. Best color. Autocouture also did some great work on my space grey e92.

When I had the e92 I also had an M2 sitting in my garage garage. Guess which one gathered dust and got sold first? I don't see how anyone but video gamers would be happy moving from an e92 to an M2. the steering is numb, the sounds are fake, the power delivery is not linear, and it is very tech intrusive.

Love the perspective! Obviously I am not a stranger to modifying cars. If I pull the trigger I would likely have a M2C that would excite. I drove the OG M2 prior to my current car and agree it was not exactly what i was looking for in terms of "special". It was a fun little car though!

Tomorrow will tell the tale. I will drive an M2C for the first time and see what these gamers are raving about...

I thought about selling her as an OEM+ car and selling the ESS kit by itself. I think my car would have a greater mass appeal without the SC. A low mile car in my cars condition with a BBK and ohlins would excite most who are looking. IMHO of course...

I have an e92 and a 2018 M2. Love both cars for different reasons. You can't really go wrong with either one, imho.

For the record, I'm torn. I test drove a DCT (I want a 6MT) today and liked it very much. The purpose of this thread was not a "vs" thread, however most of you that have been on this forum know the deal.

Power:
Even with a SC my has significantly less power during normal driving conditions. Even slightly hard driving the M2C leaps forward when you hit gas. Out right speed, using the entire rev range, my car is faster. Of course the power on my car is much more linear and predictable.

Handling and feel:
My car feels more planted, less playful but more confident. Steering feel is night and day, I don't need to elaborate. My car with Ohlins gets the nod with regards to the handling and comfort. I am two clicks from full soft, but still is very planted. I bet the M2C would be awesome with coilovers.

Sound:
My car sounds infinitely better. Probably not a fair fight..

Aesthetically:
Modded E92's are sexy period... I parked the M2C right next to my car and and the thing is wide. with a nice set of wheels and 295's on the back, it would look awesome. The stock 95 spoke wheels on the M2C wheels are horrible.

Overall:
My car feels analog by comparison, yet still feels luxurious. The leather is softer and seats feel less hard core in my car.
The M2C is much more playful and on edge, in a good way though. It goes sideways just breathing on the gas when not fully straight. Kind of hilarious actually.

Good luck man, tough choice I have an M2C incoming so hoping I made the right choice. Have had a few M cars but really craving a more analog car that still has all the right tech and warranty for a DD. 99% of the reviews I read and people I know who have an M2 just rave about the thing, so I am excited.

hilarious

95 spoke wheels!!!! hahahahahahaha. Based on my experience with a stock e92 MT and a stock OG M2 MT your review and assessment is spot-on.

FYI I finally joined the dark side with a 991.1 GTS last month. Have you considered a 991.1? .... last of the normally aspirated GT cars and I find mine to have a lot of common qualities with the e92M.

I have strongly considered a 991.2, I want a 992 aero kit 6spd real bad! I tried to rationalize the $130K price but even with no wife telling me no I simply can't..

those forgestars look great. how have they held up strength-wise as compared to a forged wheel?

Thank you! No issues at all. There are a lot of the SDC F14 wheels out there. I know these are also wit the corvette community.

There in now an ultra deep option which is even more concave.

I got a 2009 e92 stripper with DCT and AA catback with 35000 miles roughly. I now also own a M2CS manual. The two cars are very different and complement each other. The M2 platform is very potent and both cars have their merit.

Your M3 looks like a perfect candidate for BAT. I've seen some clean M3's on there sell for a pretty penny.
