Exhaust mid-pipe removal - by myself...
I have to remove the mid-pipe of the exhaust on my car for some maintenance. I'm doing this by myself with the car on jack stands.
Is it possible to remove the mid-pipe without removing the rear part of the exhaust? If so, what's the best way to do it? TIA |

do these all the time for my friends and my self due to always buying new xpipes or trying haha. 1hr job if you do it your own the first time.
you don't have to completely remove the metal undertray either just a few bolts to bend it down to access the rear header bolts to the xpipe.

I would disconnect the front 02 rather than twist the wires, and you may find that you need to considerably loosen or even remove the reinforcement plate in order to access the 02 harness bracket or cover that is on one side. I am not sure that little metal bracket or heat shield is necessary; if you will be doing this every year consider leaving it off. Mine has been off for years.

You can do it no problem. I installed my catless xpipe in the garage on jackstands with very minimal use of my left arm after shoulder surgery. Had to get creative and use my legs to help.
