You don't break in bearings. You break in rings. if bearings are breaking in something is a problem lol..

My bearing break in was a 400 mile drive to laguna seca.

Maybe an oil change after 1000 miles to flush out assembly lube. I remember Malek recommending that. But as others have said, grip it and rip it.

I don't disagree. Was passing along the suggestion Malek made related to some sort of break in period. An extra oil change doesn't hurt either

i posed the question to malek when the bearings were getting done. while he stated he does use assembly lube, a long drive and tracking wasn't a problem. now, i didn't ping it to 8,400 leaving the parking lot, but there isn't a break-in period for parts that aren't supposed to wear.

Yup, same advice from me, no break in period needed. This is consistent w/ what I read prior to my e90's RB service and what the Shop Phil@BPC told me.
