Does the DCT downshift to the lowest gear when at full throttle?

Had an M4 2 years ago and I liked how if I was say on the 7th or 6th gear cruising, then I floor it and downshift once, the car would downshift to the lowest gear for the speed I am at (ie. straight to 3rd) to give max acceleration.

Is it the same on the E9x?

The way I remember it the paddle have to be hold down for a second rather than just be blipped, but yes.

No need to hold. With accelerator floored past the kickdown switch, just downshift as per normal. DCT will grab the lowest gear possible.

Depends on mode of transmission... in auto just step on the gas and it will down shift. In manual mode you need too hold the down paddle ...
