Had it on my coupe and recently upgraded to the Akra Evo system. 83mm Quad Tips were a tad bit shorter since they were E90 application, but it wasn't too bad for anyone considering on purchasing it for their E92. Can easily be extended for $100-150 depending on where you go. Has just under 5k miles usage. Excellent shape, could use a good polish, although I might do that myself for the buyer. $1,800 picked up in SoCal.

How do you go about extending the tips?

Muffler shop would cut behind the tips and add 3" diameter piping to all 4. Length would depend on your taste/preference.
Some enthusiast like them poking out further to clear the more aggressive diffuser designs.

Wished I bumped this sooner. I drove up to NorCal this wknd for a trip, but driving home now. That at least helps cover the $150 in gas.

Extending further out it shouldn't be too difficult for a capable muffler shop/welder. If I didn't install the Akra Evo off my other M3, I was planning to get the bimmerworld test pipes and extend the tips out.

Tips
There was a guy on here a few months back selling brand new Eisenmann tips for $150. Just trying to help this thread out. I believe there still for sale and price was for the set.

The E90 tips stick out a bit even on the E90. I sold mine a few weeks ago.
![]() Just a heads up though these tips are welded, so buying new tips wouldn't really help you, you'd just have to cut them and then try to insert a new piece of pipe, but to find a shop that won't do a hack job might be a bit harder. The OEM exhaust had two tips repaired (assume they bottomed it out at some point and bend them) and god damn the welds are horrible. For the cost of welding (plus the reduced value) you might be better waiting until an E92 fitment shows up.
