More Power?

Hi all,

Ive got a 2011 M3 with DCT. Im supercharged with vt625 ess kit. Its fast, but its not THAT fast. I understand our cars were never really meant to make 1000whp, much less that much torque. However, i have read about a few people making near the 700hp mark with our cars, on stock internals.
My car is not a daily driver, so having a meth system wouldnt be a huge issue, but i know that is only a small piece of the puzzle.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated into your experiences or even your current setups!

You'll need a custom fuel system for anything over 600 whp because the factory fuel pump can't supply enough fuel to keep up demand. Anybody who has 700whp, either already has a fuel system, or their engine is no longer running because they didn't get one.

I run a 650 kit on 91 and 2 gallons of E85 on my car, and can’t envision a scenario where I’d feel the need for more power. But if you do, the thread above shows you how.

Fuel it add on pump. larger injectors retune for e85, smaller pulley for more boost. Car has been on the edge of 700whp stock motor (bearings swap) for about a year now and 18k miles.


Sal car made 723whp for 2 years. Never blewup just parted out to buy a house. E85 is the key, trying to make big power with 93 octane on high compression motor is the issue.

Have you verified that it’s making the expected boost at redline? Have you put it on a dyno to verify it’s not breaking up and pulling too much timing up top? I assume you are familiar with centrifugal superchargers and understand they make little boost at lower rpm (a system that makes 7 psi at 8400 rpm might make 2.5 psi at 4000 rpm) and are revving it out and still finding it to be not that fast.

Thank you all for the replies! I think my first step is to ensure i dont have a boost leak of any sorts, and make sure my car is actually making its expected power level. Even then, the e85 option with a smaller pulley is extremely enticing...
