RPMs drop to 200 ??!!
I have an 08 e92 m3... DCT
.. with ESS 625 S/C kit I've noticed after I turn on my car for a cold start, the RPMs start off at about 1,000... and after 20 seconds the RPMs go to 600 (where the car usually idles once it's warm) Now the moment I start to accelerate slowly, I notice the RPMS drop nearly to 200 and it feels like the car is going to stall.. and once I give it a little more throttle the RPMs shoot back up and then it starts to idle at 600 again. Really weird. Only happens more so in the beginning of the day after the car has cold started. Heard it might be o2 sensor?? Thoughts? |

What injectors are you running? I have the white injectors and the latest tunes I received from ESS were named “blue/white” which means they are made to work for cars with either blue or white injectors but from my experience are optimized for the newer blue injectors. I had an older tune from ESS which only had “white” in the title. I switched to this tune and the car runs much better but still not great. |

Do you have cold start disabled? After I got rid of cold start, I noticed my car became a little more temperamental during startup. Sometimes it takes a couple extra cranks to turn over and it kind of putters to life. I really have to feather the clutch and throttle to prevent it from stalling as I pull away. ESS actually warned me of this and advised against cold start delete on a supercharged car because it needs some time to get things running smoothly.

They will deny the request at first, but if you tell them you live in a warm climate (or your car stays in a heated garage like mine) and understand the "risks" then they'll do it.

Any update on this? I’d be curious what tune/injectors you’re running. As I said I have the older white with a blue/white generic tune. Ess says upgrading to their new Ferrari? Injectors would help.
