I know they can supply them but I don't even see a 26mm spring in their catalog. Maybe my catalog is incomplete. Just curious if you looked into the springs from BE bearings? They come from the same factory that Shrick uses to make their springs (Schrick doesn't make them in house). Have you looked at the specs for them? http://wiki.rcollins.org/core/index....Specifications

Thanks for advice guys~
I think Be spring seems too much stiffer to use with stock camshaft. 64% higher seat pressure 34% higher pressure @ 0.450 inch lift 37% room for more camshaft lift So I'm looking for less stiffer than BE spring. Does Schrick sell only one kind of spring? How about Supertech valve springs? Supertech valve spring is 11% stiffer than stock

Edit: As long as we aren't talking coil bind, which these have more margin for than OEM springs. |

Stiffer, harder, stronger and so on.. the meaning of these contains shorter life if there is no appropriate harmonic tune together. I don't want power tune with an aftermarket camshaft, just need to cover and lessen the shortage of stock parts on the basis of 2 times engine failure.

I’m not sure I understand you. Are you saying you had two stock engines fail due to defective springs because that’s unheard of.
There’s no practial reason to avoid the BE springs in a stock engine. Super tech are fine too if that’s what you think you need. |

I think valve or valve spring was the reason of engine failure. so I'm considering to upgrade valves and valve springs together. Schrick valves with Supertech or Schrick valve springs. I don't know what I'm doing is right..haha ![]()

There’s nothing wrong with oem valves. They don’t cause failures. You’ll spend a lot of money replacing them for little to no benefit in a stock engine. Not sure why you only “think” the springs caused the failure...Either a spring broke or it didn’t- it should be easy to determine upon inspection. If a valve floated from an overrev situation then you want a stronger spring like the BE/Shrick.

As long as possible without compromising durability of stock parts, I need a little more reliability than stock in valve train. but, if anything get stiffer or harder than stock, the material or construct of counterparts should be changed. I don't want a big change, so I'm trying to find the best option.
