WTB: Left DCT paddle shifter w/ module & wiring

Hoping someone can help me out who is doing a complete part out.

Looking for the left DCT paddle shifter w/ module and wiring.

Mine died on me while I was swapping to extended paddles.

What’s wrong with it? If it’s a bad wire like you suspected in your other post just splice some new wire in

Not sure honestly. I guess I will try that when I get home since I got nothing to lose at this point...

Took it apart again and put it back together after checking for anything loose. Still wasn't working - so I wasn't sure if it's that small chip thats in there that went bad or the wiring or something else completely.

Frustrating cause I keep taking it all apart (unhook battery, remove airbag, remove wheel, remove shifter, etc) and then checking to see if works by plugging it back in...

That lil ball bearing is still in there right?

I have never clicked my paddles ever. Ok maybe once or twice, but I prefer the shifter. Do you use the paddles when driving normal-spirited-all the time?

He requested only the left paddle shifter . This means he only downshifts .

Yeah, I use them as soon as oil temps are up.

I don't think I've driven the car once without using the paddles - no matter how short the trip.

It throws me off when I drive other cars. I found myself trying to downshift in the Tesla yesterday. Felt like an idiot.

Picked up wire cutter/crimper, and splice sleeves. Let's see if this actually works...

Alright. So that was annoying to splice (real small amount of wire to work with) but I got it to work. However, it's "positional".

If I pull the top of the paddle it downshifts immediately.

If I pull the bottom of the paddle, it doesn't seem to register unless I'm a little more forceful.

Wondering if this is actually the wire or just the ball bearing's location...

Definitely would prefer it to work like its supposed to especially when I downshift and I am trying to drop 2 gears, but I guess I'll take what I can get for now.

I know it’s annoying taking the thing apart 100x but next you can swap the L and R ball bearings and see if the problem follows it

The latter DIY supersedes the paddle DIY which makes it more like a HSOGDIH

Well, that was a fail.

Swapped the ball bearing, and even the gold metal plate between the two sides.

Now neither side works, haha.

Time to take it off for the 5th time...

(Opened it up, and it looks like wire on the right got cut completely. Fak, more splicing!)

Said F it and decided to just solder both sides in and now they work perfect. Thanks all!
