Oil change screw up. Help
First time post. Im changing the oil on my e92 M3 and I thought I had a decent amount of rags around the oil filter but looks like still a decent amount of it leaked down the front of the engine. I've tried to clean as much as I can. Took the aluminum skid plate and bumper off to get as far in there as possible but I can still see some oil on the belt and pulleys. Anyone with any suggestions? How bad did I screw this up and should I even drive it

You're okay.
Clean it up the best you can. You can use brake parts cleaner to spray into the hard to reach areas including the belts. You will probably use a full can...maybe two. |

I wouldn't spray it daily, but in this case it is alright.
The belt isn't going to immediately degrade once the fluid hits it. On a molecular level does it affect the belt...probably. I've sprayed drive belts with brake parts cleaner with no issues. |
