Weird engine noise coming from left side

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to see if anyone here have had the problem where the engine is producing some type of "Whaaa" sound at idle and increases as rpm increase. This cannot be heard inside of the car but can be spotted very well from outside. My initial guess it's a pulley related but would like to confirm from sound experts here is a link for a Dropbox video

Thank you very much everyone

It does sound like a pulley or possibly an accessory. There are two tensioner pulleys, idler pulley + accessory pulleys. Simply by this video it isn't possible to pin point which one is the culprit.

Turn off the A/C. If the noise is still present that will rule out the A/C compressor.

If you have a long screwdriver you can hold it against different points of the engine (Only hold it against stationary objects/nothing in motion) and put your ear to the end of it. If you don't mind spending a little money a stethoscope from Harbor Freight is $10 or so and would greatly help you diagnose the issue.

Thank you very much for your answer. AC is turned off on the video. It's good he hear it's a pulley because I'm planning to buy Mach Schnell pulleys anyway. From what I saw on YouTube, idler pulley sounds different from this.
