aFe x-pipe horsepower and torque gain? 50 tq gains???

Hey guys I am wondering if any of you have this x-pipe installed and have run a dyno. AFE website claims a maximum of 27 hp and 50 tq gains... is this credible or is this fairy tail? I personally think this is hard to accomplish but a number anywhere around that is still crazy...

They may be using crank hp and gains in just certain part of the power band. There are plenty of dyno results for x pipes and intakes in the dyno database. Cars with all the bolt on mods including tune typically gain 10 to 15% power. The pump gas record for all the bolt on mods on a Dynojet in SAE is right around 400 rwhp. Stock, cars dyno in the 330 to 360 rwhp range.

i have one of these xpipes on order. it should be at my house in about 1-2 weeks. i was planning on doing a before and after dyno just for kicks.

take a look at the notes at the bottom of the dyno chart. they did the baseline test in the morning (cooler) and the same car later in the day when it was much warmer and still made good power. i was impressed by that.

i got a great deal from redline360, send them a pm.

I always thought putting cats, even if HFCs in the location of the primaries created a restriction detrimental to power?
