02 Sensor - Bank 2 Sensor 1

Hey guys,

Having an error come up - P2629 / 274B (Fault description O2 Sensor Pumping Current Trim Circuit/Open (Bank 2 Sensor 1). I know Bank 2 = Drivers side

Is Sensor 1 pre-cat, or post-cat? Can someone please confirm part numbers?

Here is what ECS has: https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-M3...Oxygen_Sensor/

Cheers!

What I ended up buying for the pre-cats:

https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-17039-O.../dp/B000JZEXG8

Let you know how it goes.

Bosch is an oem supplier for many M3 parts, so you should expect them to work the same as parts with a bmw logo stamped on them from the dealer.

Having same problem. Tried the Bosch o2 sensor but the light came back on. I'm almost positive it's the secondary air pump. A google search for "secondary air pump emissions m3" will get you to the thread.

Doubtful for me. I have BPM stage 2 tune, which eliminates cold start. The secondary air pump is leveraged in cold start, so it shouldn't be returning an error code for that.

I'll know in a couple of days and report back.

I hope you're not right - it's a $500 fix (just parts). Much more $$ than o2's

Just dropped my car off at Century West. I was pulling a 274B with only a tiny change in drivability, so I'm hoping the emissions warranty here in CA will help with the o2 replacement. A couple of months ago i had EAS replace to O2 sensor (with a Bosch unit) because i was getting the same code. It came back on after 300-400 miles, so I'm just gonna see what happens at BMW.

So it appears to be the pre-cat sensor. I've only driven about 20 miles, but the codes are not coming back immediately, as they were previously.

This was the culprit (you can see there is a massive chunk of metal missing, as well as thread marks near the top):

Snapchat for good measure

What weight oil do you use? Are you burning oil? Noticing poorer then average fuel economy? Any codes for rich/lean mixture? o2 sensor issues hint at possible fuel or oil consumption issues which may fowl the sensors
