BPMSport FBO Stage II M3 Cracks 400whp at Track.

One of our customers that has an M3 track car went to the NASA Race and TT event last weekend at Willow Springs. He managed to clock a 1:32 on bald tires. Most sub 1:30 lap times were either supercharged, stroked, or in the higher TT1 or TTU (unlimited) classes.

The only other person we know of breaking into 1:29 was another BPMSport Stage II FBO M3 that had some aero work done and quite an incredible driver. He plans on doing some aero work and joining him as the only 2 FBO S65's to go below 1:30 at Big Willow. This was the car that did the 1:29 FBO.

At the event they had a Dynojet, and the car put down a healthy 400whp in 96 degree weather. Very nice looking chart. His car has the BPMStage II Akra GT4 tune paired with the Akra GT4 exhaust system.

Here are some pics:

A car at Miester Motoring that completely dead stock dyno'd 357whp, after exhaust, pulleys and tune made 391 in 98 degree weather with out 240e software. Some cars just have a lil more kick than others.

Cams, 9k redline, Akra gt4, fuel system upgrade and full timing advance on e50....may see 430 wheel or more. Wish someone would try this.

400 rwhp SAE is great. Very, very few stock block NA cars have made it.

Is the Akra GT4 xpipe that special or is it just that it's a straight xpipe with no cats or resonators at all and that's why it makes power?

What were the other power mods on the 400whp car?

talking with malek, he speculated that there is about 25hp to gain just with the mild cams. no tune- vanos adapts to them. no check engine light, no nonsense.
i think thats awesome, i just hope i didn't misunderstand anything... i'm not super knowledgeable when it comes to internal stuff.

Those are some pretty solid times! That's better than some GTRs.

You might not be losing power. Every car is different, even strap down tension can account for 10+ whp.

It's hard to see big numbers on the Dyno with a tuned e9x because IAT temps are far to high, and it's very sensitive about dialing back ignition timing under those circumstances.

If your plugs have 30k or more on them, consider replacing them.

Thanks for the info Mike. My spark plugs have less than 10k miles on them so I should be good there.

Is there any error codes I can look for or is there something you can look at to make sure the tune and everything is else is running properly?
