POLL: Has Your M Performance Exhaust (MPE) Cracked?
I'm interested to seeing some statistics of forum members who own or have owned an M Performance Exhaust for the E9x and whether or not it has cracked and what trends there may be with units that have cracked.
If you could please provide the following information: 1) 1st or 2nd generation 2) miles on MPE 3) cracked? yes/no 4) stock cats/pipes? I will start it off... 1) 1st generation 2) 10k miles 3) no 4) yes, stock cats and pipes |

Thanks for the votes thus far!
If you could please provide the additional information to see if there are general trends contributing to the failures.

Judging by the poll results so far, 1st gen MPE cracking seems to have fallen victim to mild forum hysteria.

Yeah, I was surprised to read about those that had the cracked exhaust in early mpe, but hasn't happened to me yet. I've got a 2008, and I'm a little more watchful of the lead in blackstone reports, but so far so good!

Mine is unknown mileage but it certainly looked quite old when I bought it.
1) V1 2) unknown, at least 10k miles from my use alone. Probably triple that. 2) no 4) test pipes for the last 10k My cousin's 2011 E92 M3: 1) V1 2) 35k miles 3) no 4) stock until 34k miles, now has test pipes

Yes, the inconel first generation MPE cracked at ca. 15,000 miles on my 2011 E93, that's why I have the Dinan performance exhaust on my current E92 M3.
