first thing that crossed my mind...just using general figures...
264,214 miles divided by 15 mpg = 17,614 gallons of gas used, @ $3.50 per gallon is approximately $61,650 worth of gas over those miles, or $8,807 per year in gas. Wow! |

It went for almost no $ Would have bought it in a heartbeat. It did have a secondary air problem but that's not bad for 250k + I'll see if he will join. |

This is so awesome. I can't imagine owning ANY car for that amount of miles without having some issues.
That's brutal...obviously specific to the area and driving style. I get more than 15mpg combined in my car and gas is much cheaper here (trying to reassure myself that I'm not spending that amount on gas, Ha!). |

I bet the owner enjoyed his or her time with the car even if it used a lot of gas. 35k miles per year is not that extraordinary. Years ago, I commuted 600 miles per week and also drove the car on weekends and on trips for a total of about 35k miles per year.
The more I drive, the more I want to be in a car I enjoy. If I drove 35k miles per year and money was an issue, I might look for a fun car with better fuel economy. There are some that might get 1/3 better highway mpg and thus save about 1/3 on gas. But I would not want to drive an econobox 35k miles per year unless I had to. |

Great to see a high miles E9x M3 with no bearing issues, or apparently any other significant issues other than a dirty engine bay.
I imagine the owner never tracked the car. Nevertheless . . . Would love to know what the OCIs have been, as well as tranny, diff, etc. |
