2 questions for OEM exhaust mod
2 quick questions as I am performing the OEM mod by removing the perforated pipe (2 pipe method). 1- Do you try to weld both pieces of the double wall plate that was removed for access back into position or just one to cover the hole? 2- Do you put the stuffing back in; why, why not?

Cheers Ps. One thing worth doing is to drill a few wholes throught the double walls and weld. Just had mine back to the shop ss it started to develop an annoying rasp when it was cold. Turned out it was the inner shield coming lose and rattling. This was on the sides i.e. not were it was opened in the first place. I hope its ruggened now...Another obvious one is the better you tighten up the pipe welding the more of the sound gets out there rather than stays with the wool...
