Hi Guys,

I bought my M3 CPO and it only came with 1 key. So they ordered me a new one, however they "found" my original 2nd key so they just gave me a spare (3rd key).

I never got it programmed. I can post pics and also see if i have the original packaging.

FYI: I don't mind local pick up. I can go with you to a BMW dealership to get it programmed for a better piece of mind.

I am close to Sterling/Crevier/Riverside BMW.

Yeah, tonight sorry i just bought a gopro and was excited and totally forgot.

1. Never programmed means I can just bring it to the Dealer & get it programmed w/o questiones, correct?

2. The fact that the Key is cut, does it mean that I can not use it for my car (sorry for the inmense ignorance),

You are exactly right. Key is cut, for my car. So the key itself will not unlock your doors. The fob has never been programmed so you can just take it to the dealer and get it done programmed to your car. If you are local, i can go with you to make sure everything goes smoothly, if you are not, then am willing to do a refund (not including pp fee) and i will not cover shipping costs. if it does not work.

Keys that have been programmed in the past (used key fobs) will not re program to any vehicle. New key fobs are not linked to anything, therefore can be programmed to 1 vehicle. (to the best of my understanding).

The key is programmed to the first vehicle it starts. It comes from Munich cut and once it is used to start the car it is imprinted with that vehicles info.
