I have a few friends who run there a bunch and autobahn as well. Just make sure you bring extra brakes and purchase track insurance. The only real spot I worry about is the kink but other than that I am super excited. I have been going to that track since 1983 and have done ride around a bit never driven it myself. Making sure I GoPro and run Harry's lap timer as well.

Yeah, brakes are going to be working hard there. Hope you have fresh fluid...

There's another HPDE in October at Road America. It's the Drive for Babies charity event -- just FYI in case any of you can't make the other date.

I been using Harry's for some time and I just tried using a gopro to do pic in pic but the videos from Harry's and the gopro didn't seem to be the same length so I couldn't get the videos to sync. Harry's started the gopro just fine so don't know what the problem is. Any magic I'm missing?

You'll have a great time. Road America is a beautiful track to watch go by, at wildy fast speeds!!
I'll be there instructing with MVP Tracktime on Octorber 3rd and 4th. Come look me up and say HI! Mark puts on a great event and has a super group of safe and fun drivers to chase around........

Running SRF is a great idea.

I just picked up a new AIM Solo DL timer and will be trying it out myself at the MVP event....

See you there!
Scott

I agree with Scott,

Road America is a great place. I was at the July MVP (Followed Scott on track a few times), I would suggest SRF and a decent set of pads, it makes the day more enjoyable if your not worrying about brakes. I'm running the same brakes, fluid, and car as Scott and he was able to go a full marker deeper than me. Obviously bravery has nothing to do with that

SRF is great fluid, its expensive and its kinda a PITA to know when the old fluid is out and the new fluid starts. I suggest just biting the bullet and buying two bottles and bleeding the shit outta them. Pegasus stocks it

Maybe I'll see you guys out there in October

Ha! You were running pretty quickly out there, so if I went a full marker deeper than you, it's probably because my foot slipped off the pedal....

Good quality pads and fluid are super worthwhile investments. They inspire confidence to go quicker, and add an extra element of safety as well.

See you there!
