New Member, new car!

G'day all,

I have been directed to this site by a fellow M3 fan, and I must say the forum is very impressive.

I took delivery of the car on Thursday evening, and have done 1000 kilometres since. About 600 of which were done today going to the West Coast of Tassie (tight mountain passes & all but deserted roads).

This car is absolutely amazing! the way it turns into 15-25 km/h corners is breathtaking, and the way it also handles long sweepers (180km/h+) also left me white knuckled & speechless.

I basically had done about 400 kilometres prior to today & really opened it up post 500 kilometres. I wound the car out to 270km/h twice so I am a little confused as to the 250km/h speed restriction?

I actually depressed the "M" button on the return journey on some long sweeping corners, and all I can say is F#*^! The car was in a 190km/h power slides! Awesome to say the least.

Gentlemen, I can honestly say that if you have any doubt in ordering/buying this car, well rest assured you will be ASTOUNDED with the performance and handling of this machine.

Enough for now, I still can't think straight after the shock of todays drive!

I have attached some photo's that were taken last night, and today whilst stopping for my co-pilot to be sick in the bushes

Woohoo ... another aussie M3 owner on the forum. You're a lucky bastard having Tasmania to drive that car around on. Stroke of luck too, being the 666th car registered in the state!

congrats for you car !

but don't forget that you should still be in the first part of the break in period, and limited to 170 KM/h for the first 2000 km. (and i know this is not easy to respect it

Thankyou for the kind words.

Yes, I am very fortunate to have such fantastic roads to drive and ride on!

I am originaly from Sydney so I do appreciate Tassie's roads & scenery!

not to mention the privilege of only having 666 cars on the roads!

Very nice. I assume that is Fox Red interior, but the picture makes it look like the e46 Cinnamon interior. Is it Fox Red, and does it actually look like it does in the picture?

Beautiful car Mr. Devil. Only thing I don't like is the aluminum trim w/ FR & SG. Otherwise it's incredible.

Thankyou Gentlemen,

The colour combo is Space Grey with Fox Red interior & aluminium trim. Guys I'm not to sure about your comparison to cinamen interior, but I believe the colour looks much more like "rust" than red!

Yes, there is two dealers here in Tassie- Launceston Autohaus & Hobart Autohaus. I am actually the third person to take delivery of the new M3 in Tassie.
