FS: E90 OEM exhaust mod (EAS) w/custom tips & OEM X-pipe
I got a new exhaust and am looking to get rid of this stocker. The EAS method was performed (at Eurowise in Charlotte, NC) for the quieter of the 2 mod choices. The bottom of the can is painted black and I had 4-3" Dimisa double walled tips installed, which added $200 to the original cost of the mod. I received compliments all the time on it but I have no room to store it. NOT WILLING TO SHIP. $400 FIRM for the rear section. $300 for the OEM X-pipe.

Hey - thanks for the note. Do you have any audio clips you could share? As I understand it, the EAS mod is a bypass and does not cross over inside the muffler - is that right?
I've got test pipes and the BPM Stage II tune now, and while I'd like a little more volume, I definitely don't want it to be obnoxious. I've heard test pipes plus OEM mod can be a bit much. What did you go with to replace it? |

I replaced it with the Akra Evo.
The Eas method is cutting out the perforated pipe inside and replacing it with solid pipe. Unfortunately no sound clips. The mod by itself has a perfect rumble with minimal drone. Like you, I cannot stand drone and this exhaust was fine for me. I have no experience using it with test pipes and don't wanna give you false info. Someone else with that can chime in. For anyone buying this, we can install when you pick it up. |

Always a good choice...
I found a couple clips of the OEM mod with test pipes, and I think it will be a little too much for my taste (and for my neighbors at 7:00 am). Seems like the Megan plays well with TPs, so I might still go that way. GLWS I ran with quite a few guys from the KC BMWCCA at Hallett (in Oklahoma) a few weeks back. I was a great time - maybe we'll run into each other at some point in the future (my in-laws are in Olathe). http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/tra...s-7-1634710169 |

Good to hear from you - I wish I could join you on track at COTA! I was there for the USGP and was dreaming about getting out there with my car some day. Have a great time. Dave
