Some evidence seems to suggest the later tin/alu/copper bearings fare less worse (e.g look at all the photos of various bearings in the rod bearing condition thread), but they're definitely not off the hook, some of those have died too.
Re your own engine, likely on borrowed time, no one can say how long it'll last, maybe a few thousand miles, maybe a 100 thousand miles. The latter not being so likely.
Most of the lead/copper bearings pulled are in a very poor state, as in showing copper to varying degrees (see the rod bearing condition thread)

My car had done about 75k miles, a lot of the bearings were showing quite a lot of copper, and 2 had purple heat streaks!
