Ordered my car DEc 08, rec'd March 1 09. Was told that the M school for M3 purchases was discontinued for M's delivered after Dec 31 2008. If you purchase an M5 or M6 you still get to go, just not M3s. My dealer sent me a ck for $1,000.00 because he told me I could go, but later found out I could not. Checked with BMWNA which confirmed this.

Received my car in December, ordered in October. I got the invite. Didn't even know I was eligible since mine was an 09 model and purchased through the Military Sales Program.
Pleasant surprise.

the whole thing doesn;t make sense...I paid the same if not more $76,400 for mine.....than my peers who have 08 models and may have got deep discounts due to the economy. Because I paid full price I get this in return?
Dont make sense to me. |

It has nothing to do with how much you paid. BMW made this decision to stimulate sales at the time (..along with 0.9%/2.9% financing). It's unfortunate, but it's no different than missing out on a sale because you showed up late.

I don't know why this is a thread. The facts have been posted. If you "took delivery" of yours between those dates you get to go. I just went on Monday, and it is 100% worth the trip there.

This thread proves that we have a mostly honest bunch here. Looks like only one person lied. You should have made it a public poll so we could ridicule that person.
Although, we don't know for sure since two of the options cover both a month that was included in the promo and a month that was not. |

My son and I went on 13 April and as King Tut said, it is well worth the trip; there were people from Seattle and LA in my 1-day M School session. Where else can you drive an M3, then an M5, then a M6, then a M5, then a M6, then a M3 very hard on various track courses? One of the instructors told us their Conti tires typically only last ~150 miles before they need to be swapped out

Arguably M3 buyers are the most passionate owners of the BMW product. I must say I do not understand BMWNA offering the driving school to M5 and M6 buyers and not M3 buyers. It is upsetting if you want to dwell on the topic. Is the mind set that the M3 buyer will buy the product no matter? Is it that the M3 buyer isn't paying enough to justify the incentive? Why who would want to attend M school more than an M3 owner?
Oooops I digressed. I must have been dwelling on the topic. |

Have you tried calling the performance schools or your dealership? The offer was only for purchased or leased 08 M3 models and yet there are 09 m3 owners who got the invite. It was exclusively meant for "08" models of the m3. You should call BMWNA. They might offer you the m school since you only missed it by 2 days?

And this was not an invite, it was a promotion offer. So if you got your new M3 delivered within the dates specified above you got the M School. So you either call BMWNA or got a letter in the mail to register. You do not have to wait for any invitation if you do not want to. Come on guys, this is getting kind of absurd. Just call BMWNA if you still have any doubts and ask. |

I picked up a 2009 M3 in Oct 2008. My CA told me my car didn't qualify; ie, he said promotion was only for MY08 M3s. He had been wrong on other ocassions when BFest was correct, so I called BMWNA at 888-345-4269 and sure enough my MY09 qualified! Obtained the 1-day M School application form, Fax'd them my bill of sale and registration, made the school reservation for myself and a guest, and attended the school a week ago. It was Outstanding and well worth the trip!
