What? There's nothing illegal about running a CSL airbox in any state AFAIK? Mine passes plug in OBD2 at any shop without any "special treatment". It disables no emissions systems.

I dont judge any exhaust notes by video. Only in person. I learned that lesson from my M4 ownership.

Don't laugh. Rowan Atkinson is an accomplished racer, and, in opposition to the bumbling and inept person he portrays on air, has an MS in electrical engineering and a fellowship from Oxford.

You'll have to compare in person, next time you're in an F1, then

Exactly, inside, the F80 actually sounds good when you disconnect or code out Active sound. Outside I agree its not great, but I don't really care. I am inside the car.

The F80 also has virtually no turbo lag, I don't know what twilight zone I am in right now.

Enjoy your E90 in good health all... It's clear I don't really share any opinions with ya'll in here.

I never felt turbo lag was an issue in the M4. Doesn't mean it didn't exist. It just wasn't bad enough to make me dislike it.

How much did you pay in total for the stripping and powder coating?

They are original ZCP wheels. The silver didn't look great with the Melbourne Red.

Silver is a hit and a miss with certain colours, I think silver would look nice on my Jerez Black E90

Exactly what I paid. I don't know why I didn't get mine done earlier. Yours look brand new again. Still a good thread 6 pages in.

Black is not bad either
I went back and forth mentally on silver vs. black as well.
Ended up purchasing a set of black 359s for my Jerez

Talk about thread creep.... How did this thread morph into ZCP wheel color change? It almost took a turn to an e9x v. e46 discussion and then...boom. Powder coated ZCP wheels.

I had TE37SLs, which at the time, matched the Ti tips of my Akra Evo.
Now I sometimes wish I went with CF tips instead, but it's no big deal.

I really would like the look of the black Cali plates (Legacy Plates), but I've had a California "Honoring Veterans" Plate since 2015.
I'm sort of a history nerd, and with the Veterans plate, you get to choose which veterans organization to support, and I chose to honor the much forgotten China/Burma/India Theater Veterans with my plate.
Basically got it during the 70th Anniversary of the end of WWII.

Anyways, getting off-topic.

To steer the thread back on topic, I will say that although the Style 666M wheels of the F8x ZCP grew on me, I still prefer the Style 359M.
The one thing I really dislike about the 666M is that they lack concavity.
I absolutely love the concave on the 359M.

Here's my attempt to steer it back to F8x vs. E9x.

359M > 666M !!

Y'all are insane...there is NO way I would ever part with my f8x for an e9x...
Whatever would I do without that lawnmower sound that never ceases to turn beautiful women's heads?
