Argh...can't pick a new color

I'm in the middle of an ED coupe order and I can't settle on a color...I must have looked @ a thousand pictures of different paint and in the end I'm not crazy about any of them. I settled on the interlagos blue but then saw it in a parking lot, neither the wife nor I liked it.

I currently drive an AW E92 and love the color contrast with the CF roof & black wheels, side grills, etc. I'd order another AW except that I'm essentially buying an identical car.

Anyone have any suggestions on "individual" paint? I'm not into the flashy "ticket magnet" dakar yellow, or red in general

Interlagos Blue. It's M-specific and offers great tone variation throughout the day, as light levels change.

IB is too purple for me.

If doing individual, I'd go MCB. Nice color, but not too flashy.

Are you keeping your black wheels, gills, etc to put on your next M3?

I have a SGM e90 and they had a SGM e92 with the competition package and the carbon roof at the dealer when I picked it up and I thought it looked awesome.

MCB looks good.

Is Laguna Seca still an option? Love it...

Azurite Black (though some people think it looks too close to Jerez to be worth the cost of Individual), Moonstone, or Tanzanite Blue would be at the top of my list if you're ok with Individual.

Tanzanite in the sun: http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=723828
Tanzanite at Geneva: http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=495046

Otherwise, you might like Le Mans blue even if you didn't like IB.

some might call a moonroof coupe blasphemy, but I'm quite partial to a LMB on Beige non-extended with moonroof... it fits well with a "fast GT" type image rather than the "sports car" image

It's set at MW right now, but as I said I'm open to doing individual!

...Dealer stated that I can get pretty much ANY paint that BMW has used in the recent years (not just the 3-4 offered in the individual package) on almost any car. They may deny some paint choices, but for the most part the paint field is wide open.

I am keeping the black wheels & side grills...wheels for sure since I got a set of RAC mono-blocks with perfect off-set.

I am biased for LMB, but...... color is a personal thing and you have to go with your gut regardless of what others say.

Also, you have to see the color in person.

New M5 Singapore Grey is pretty nice, but very low key. Depends on the look you're going for.

Or maybe a frozen color?

There is no such thing as a flashy ticket getting color.

Studies show that red cars receive a proportionate amount of speeding tickets to other cars. Grey cars have been shown to receive significantly more tickets.

Anyways I'd go with Monte Carlo blue or Sakhir orange or Atacama yellow. Golfer has an m3 mcb and I've seen it in person and it's amazing.

Is this just the total number of tickets issued to cars of each color, or is this average number of tickets per cars of that color, i.e. "tickets per capita"? If it's the former, it's not surprising that grey cars get more tickets because there are lots of grey cars out there, and if red cars have similar ticket numbers to other colors, then the additional fact that red is a comparatively less common color means that you ARE more likely to get a ticket in a red car. Of course that still doesn't answer whether that's true because red cars are more attractive ticket targets for cops or whether people who choose red cars have a higher tendency to drive in ways that will result in a ticket.
