M3 Or Stingray

Hey guys, I currently own a 2011 MW M3 DCT and I've been thinking about selling it to get this Limerick 2013 with a stick, however its 60k with 33k miles and I could bring the dealer down in price. I love the e92 M's, one of my favorite cars and I just felt like getting a manual will up my enjoyment with the S65, yes DCTs are great but i get bored of the flappy paddle. Now.. heres the thing, i Could get a stingray, beautiful car, great engine, nice interior, I would say kinda exotic looking and well its new and has good Mpg, however I'm not sure if I can give up the M for it..I feel stupid and i think a lot of people would but I'm unsure. What do you guys think?

You are asking, on an M3 forum, if you should trade your M3 for a Chevy?

It's a pretty odd comparison beyond certain numerical figures. Flip a coin?

I am one of the biggest fans in the S65. I also love everything about the E92 M3. You also know I ordered a stingray not to long ago when we were talking in PMs. car is still little ways out though because of GM carbon fiber constraints at the factory. i wish i could give you a review with the car ,but i cant.

But i am bored with my M3, and wanted something new. I think the E92 is overall a better made car, and its more special. I will buy a E92 again in the future. SO just because you want to try out a corvette, doesn't mean you cant go back someday.

The corvette is going to be a very fun car, not to mention it looks pretty cool in the right color/packages.

The C6 generation looked stunning, especially with the widebody, but with a crappy interior. On the C7 they fixed the interior to a degree but I still cannot get myself to like the exterior. If you can get over the exterior then the C7 will outperform the E92 and be a more pure sports car.

If 2seater is not a problem why not C7 stingray? I cannot get any 2 seater vehicles, because I have a kid. Even if there is GT3 vs GT3 RS, I have to pick GT3 due to that tiny 2 extra back seat.

No back seats in the gt3 either! Ya a minimum of 2 small back seats voided even consideration of the C7. Although I still like the idea of having an m3 over a C7 anyways.

Nice! Problem solved. IMO - You should definitely get the Stingray.

No use in getting the wrong transmission in an M3.

Both transmission are great IMO but I feel DCT is more suited for the car. If it had the Porsche 6MT, I would have been all over 6MT

Me personally would maybe take a C7 over a regular M3.

However if it were a limerock.. absolutely not. Ive seen probably a good 100+ C7s since they came out here in WI and have yet to see a limerock M3 here

To me the the limerock M3 is a better looking car, much better interior and with similar (ish) performance.
