I know. This was meant to replace my E90 M3 + give me a better winter DD. Then I {ahem} slipped up and bought The Santorini E92 M3. oops! Next, I'm looking for more of a true winter beater (thinking used 4Runner, GC, etc) so I can toss my 3 labs in the back and drive on the roads treated with Mag Chloride without feeling bad about getting it dirty.

Edit: Leaning harder towards a wagon. Is it wrong I'm willing to sacrifice an Audi over a BMW?

If you want a true beater, a used 4 runner or Xterra is preferred IMO. I wanted luxury with my winter beater (to Tahoe), so I settled with a X5d

Got a 97 Runner that I bought for $3000 and the thing is seriously a tank. Almost 300k miles on it now and it's amazing how little work I've had to put into it, and the fact that pretty much everything still works.

Having said that, we don't have winters like yours, so I more or less only use it when I need to have my dogs with me (a lab as well actually)

Good luck with sale!

P.S. I can see myself picking up a 328d Touring eventually. But see no reason yet because I've got the M3's to play with most of the time.

No snorkel, those are lame unless you live in Australia and actually need them. They're poser status elsewhere

Showed up at my local Starbucks with my car smelling like Chemical Guys Stripper Scent leather conditioner, let me just say, VERY popular with the guys.

Must have used it in the X5M to entice buyers?
