I took the day off to install an icebox in the trunk but figured I would need two days for that so I finished up my DSP and AMP install that I have been putting off for some time.

Definitely pulleys and belts if you haven't done that. I waited to do my pump when my thermostat went (100k miles).

Changed front and rear pads plus rotors on Saturday. Went with Zimmerman rotors and Textar pads. Rear pads and rotors were toast, and one front disc was warped.

First time changing brakes ever, on any car. Only issue(s) faced was removing the allen screws holding the rotors in place, where the previous owner had reused partially damaged screws. Used a combination of heat, hammers and WD40. Two screws required a damage screw extractor.

Did some pad bedding on Saturday to remove the zinc coating, and took a nice long drive on Sunday. Everything working well, but I need to adjust the parking brake now.

No pictures, but I swapped my wheels and tires, and now I feel there is less grip.

- I had 219M with Bridgestone RE760 in 265-35-18 and 295-35-18
- Replaced with Forgestar F14 with Michelin PSS in 255-35-19 and 275-35-19

The car breaks away sooner in sweeping turns. Is it down to tire width or older PSS?

If the PSS' are old thats probably it. They are great while fresh but certainly loose out with time even if there is sufficient thread left.

Received a pair of packages from ECS so I performed some really quick maintenance:

1.) Replaced the failed hood struts. I didn't have anything else handy so I had to use a roll of holiday wrapping paper to prop up the hood.

2.) A long overdue air filter replacement. Yikes it was dirty! Note to self, don't forget to replace next time!

Curious, so you went OEM from an aftermarket? might be wrong, but the dirty one appears to be an aftermarket filter.

Thats a BMC filter that was in your car. You can clean it and use the filter oil to reuse again.
