I finally bought my E93!

Well after negotiating on 3 cars for 3 weeks I ended up with a CPO 2011 in Silversone II with ALL available factory options I could find. It has 30,000 miles and now I can begin modifications. Silver Heated Leather and Carbon Fiber Trim.

Here are some Pics of my 11 year old Cade who will inherit this M3 on his 16th Birthday.

I want an exhaust first and am considering the Borla ATAK and this rear spoiler.....Thoughts?

Thanks

The car pictured is an E46. Also, I think that type of spoiler would look hideous on your E93. Try the OEM BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Spoiler:

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...FcWUfgodORwAeg

I test drove a car with a Borla exhaust when purchasing my M3 a while back. It sounded terrible and droned like crazy. I prefer quieter exhausts that "open up" progressively as you increase the throttle. This is all preference, but I am a fan of the Dinan exhaust:

Enjoy the new car and welcome!

Congrats! I wish I got an M3 for my 16th birthday…hell I wish I got a car period. As for the exhaust, look up the OEM exhaust mod on here. Sounds better than most of the exhausts out there for literally a fraction of the price. As for the spoiler, I would just get a replica performance spoiler made for e93. JLmotoring makes them and I'm happy with mine.

Enjoy your new car in good health!

+1 for OEM Mod or Test Pipes and Megan Exhaust w/Tune.

-1 for a spoiler...keep the lines clean.

+1 for Black grills and black vinyl trim on the chrome, also black powder coat for the stock rims...

Congrats on the car - enjoy!

Thanks for the Links...All of them.

I know I'm the "Newbie" around here as I was and an Admin on several Outdoor and Long Range Shooting Forums and know how the "Christening" works.

I am Lucky to have several options that most don't.

1) I live minutes from Road Atlanta

2) Driven my 87 M3, Honda CRS Si,Nissan 300 Twin Turbo (509RHP), 90,96&98 Duggan built Mustangs there.

3) know and count as Friends many Pro Drivers through my old Company..SpeedVue Dacing Tear-Offs ( The layer you see them remove from the Windshield or Windscreen in everything from NASCAR to Euro Rally Racing)

4) Most importantly a Son who has an "Old Soul" and has displayed Characfer that makes his Father,Teachers,Coachs admire him. (My oldest...now 16... Drives a Camry...My youngest will not receive a license...... if he doesn't learn to control his Temper. LOL) All are Honor Roll kids and in Programs for the Gifted but are so different when it comes to their personalities.

All that being said....If he isn't ready...He will not get the car...Pure and Simple ....Daddy likes it too.

Thank you.

I looked and can find many references to the "Factory Mod" but no video links so that I can hear it. Do you have a YouTube link you could share?

Message received on the Spoiler...I just need to "get back into the water of car customizing) I've spent 15 years in Mini Vans,SUV's and Crew Cab Trucks. LOL

Thanks

Buddalun,

I'm not sure this spoiler will work on the E93. You may know more than I do but this spoiler is for the E92 and it would not fit properly in the middle section. In fact BMW Performance do not offer a spoiler for the E93. I've being looking for one for mine and I really like the BMW for the quality and the look of the CF but have not found one that it will fit properly. I also like to have the CRT theme from iND as well. I'll welcome any suggestions you may have.

Garage List
Don't forget: the best "mod" for an E93 is the wind deflector...

Congrats!

Ah yes, I overlooked the convertible aspect, you are right.

Here are some OE-style equivalents for your E93. The Alpina spoiler for E93s at post #17 is also quite nice.

I think the CRT from iND is really neat too, great choice, especially with your silver color.

I bet semi-annual insurance premium will be as high as 150k/30yr mortgage loan payment at current mkt rate.

I am sure there are lots of 16 year old kids who are disciplined to obey all traffic law.

That is interesting....When I was 16 my Dad bought a fully restored 68 Firebird with a 455 BB out of a 70 Transport Am (I wrecked 3 times by 17...All single car accidents when I tried curves that the car and I weren't ready for) and I had to pay maintenance and Insurance which was over $3,300 a year BUT I just added my 16 yo Daughter to our policy for a 2001 Toyota Camry, my F350 7.3 Turbo Dually Crew Cab and the M3 and it's only $180 a month.

Of course I'm on my Family Policy which is over 50 years old.
