My Formal intro into the Wonderful world of ///M's!!
Hello everybody, I wanted to formally introduce myself. I've been a part of e90post for 5 years since I've own a 335i. I sold it last year due to an addition to the family. I needed a 4 door car. I have a X5 and a Mini Cooper S (for a daily driver). Since I sold my 335i, I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to pick up an M3! I purchased this in September 2014. I specifically wanted a 08'-10' E90, Alpine white, Fox Red interior, fully loaded 6MT. I found this beauty on here, and the only thing that I hate is that it did not come with extended leather. I went off faith and purchased this car from a member on here with only pics and conversation. He lived in California and I'm stationed here at Ft.Bragg/ Fayetteville NC. Completely on the opposite ends of US States! I will say that this will be my first and last time ever making a big purchase without ever setting foot behind the wheel unless it's being made!
Here was the car before I received it. Here's another and another! Delivery day to me! Too low for my liking, So I removed the KW s/o (came installed) and installed B&G Springs. Yes I'm aware that I could have adjusted them but I wanted a practical driving height since there will be a little one riding in the back and I knew that I would never adjust them again. First cosmetic mod..... OSS FTW!!! Dinan midpipe installation Got rid of the ugly stock shift knob and replaced with the F10 M5 shift knob along with an Alcantara shift boot and performance handbrake to match! I also upgraded the middle console trim & controller to CIC Next up was ModeCarbon V2 CF lip (which I decided to remove the V2 splitter) & Platte Forme AG CF side skirts! I decided to have the front bumper repainted before I started to install the lip & skirts! Purchased some CF hood grills while waiting on my front bumper to be finished! aaaannd here are my end results so far! It's kind of hard to tell but I also added Black Muteki Tuner lug nuts to the staggered stud conversion! I love the fact that the previous owner had the 359's refinished to a brushed aluminum and rear wheels extended to a 19x11 along with the fronts being a 19x10. I did not like the moderate stretch of tires that came along with the current set-up so I replaced the fronts (245) with a 265 and rears (275) with a 285. I also had the oil, brakes, diff fluid, manual fluid, spark plugs, and brake fluid changed. I received the car with 58k and currently just hit 60k. (its a weekend car only) The next mods will be the LED performance steering wheel, and hopefully 3D designs rear diffuser! I've also got my eye's on a Meisterchaft GT2 muffler! All in All, I love the car and is glad to be apart of the M3 community! UPDATE- 22 APR 2015 More Pics on page #3 I just took delivery of the V2 LED Performance Steering wheel! UPDATE-25 APR 2015 AMP/Sub enclosure install on page #4 UPDATE-30 APR 2015 Rear Diffuser installed. Pics on page #4 Last edited by Atomicteal_M3; 04-30-2015 at 07:39 PM.. |

Ferkin ossam looking weekend baby chariot . Love the rims. It probably originally needed the tyre stretch to fit in under the arches in light of the coilovers, maybe?

Hey bro, your M3 looks awesome. Just like you mentioned, Adam did an amazing job with the finish of the wheels and I love how the fronts are really rears!! You've done an amazing job so far, keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.
BTW I always loved your E92 especially when you had her lowered and sitting on the 230's!

Wow talk about tasteful mods! You picked out every single mod I want to do if money were not an issue lol! Electronic M steering wheel is gonna look sick and the alcantara will match the handbrake and shift boot. And good thinking on adjusting the ride height, looks much better now.
Gorgeous car you're treating her well! |

Looks great! I'm a bit puzzled: your second picture (first interior pic) shows an older CCC navi knob, and the picture where you show your M5 shifter + performance e-brake shows the newer CiC knob…same interior? Or did you upgrade and forgot to mention it?
Congrats on your purchase…definitely the best sedan to own in my opinion! |

A buddy of mine was looking at this car as well when it was for sale. What were the problems you ended up having with it? Congrats on the purchase. Car looks good.

There were 2 things that seller did not disclose and that was a bad battery & stripped oil pan! Thank god I have friends that work at the dealership otherwise I'd been looking at a hefty bill! Other than that. The car purrs like a kitten!
