Great addition to a great looking M3 (looks like mine )
Brakes are the best mod a car owner can make. Only problem I have with the Brembos is the price - there's no way (IMO) to justify spending over $7,000 for a brake upgrade not counting installation. That's nuts.

Question: does replacing the system affect the automatic brake fade compensation or brake drying function in any way?

Another factor I had to consider when I got my Eisenmann race was how cops would feel when they heard this exhaust. I think the Amuse would easily crack 110dbs (as loud or even louder than a Harley). If an RCMP is behind you and sees your BLUE-FLAMED exhaust, only God knows what they would do next. In the best scenario you would only get a ticket. But if you ran into some a$$hole cop, it would absolutely suck balls if you had to bring your car to the station to be inspected, GG exhaust. Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the post OC and congrats on getting the Brembos installed.
I got weight figures for the OEM setup from a catalog. It is quoting ~42 lbs per front wheel for the disc and the calipers. If you click on that link, you can see the breakdowns for the individual components. Do you have the weight of the Brembos documented? If you do, can you share them please. We can compare them to the catolog numbers until you get a chance to weigh the OEM parts.

I will be the first to admit if it was just the 100 octane, the cold, moist, night air, coupled with the adjustment to the sensitivity of the center pedal which clouded my judgment.

It would be great if you do weigh the brakes as I am very interested to know how much the OE vs. the Brembo weight is. Have you gotten around to doing that? And finally, although weight all around is IMO less, it may be difficult to notice this in acceleration, although I should say that I “feel” improvement on several of the mods I´ve done but I think this is more of an imagined performance improvement rather than real. I try to keep myself objective on these matters namely by allowing professionals to elaborate on this or depend on actual speed traps etc… as you will, I think, always get into these arguments. Brakes/car look great by the way!!

I think that is probably correct, although again, Brembo GT kit rotors are larger and lighter and made of different elements (while still steel in general) that the OE M3 rotors, plus, the cost of buys just the calipers I suspect may be almost and expensive as buying the entire kit altogether. Don't know this for a fact though. I personally just rather buy the entire Brembo package is it was designed that way from the start and over years using there systems am conviced they do work better than the OE kits.
