Why would they take the back seats out?
So the rear 2 doors open up to what? Even the E46 CSL had rear seats, and it was a coupe. I'm guessing a lightweight rear seat option will be the go. Performance seats up front would be nice. CF all around. Performance exhaust (although not the case on the blue example) The usual thinner glass. Remove a/c, nav, idrive etc etc

So I donīt think, they would remove necessary things like the rear seats or a/c. With Nav and idrive you would be right ( if needed you can use an mobile nav-unit without loose of comfort! )... they quotet this concept also as intelligent LightWeight ... so they would save weight by removing only this parts that are not necessary for daily driving comfort ... and save weight in parts that are necessary. I also think that they would use carbon at all possible car panels like hood, roof, trunk and the 4 doors ... plus an (lighter?)version of the performence seats in front and an lightweight backseatsytem with integratet headrests ... better and lightweight brakes ... an lightweight exhaust-system made of Inconel or Titan ... etc etc. Greets Uli_HH |

This lightweight E90 M3 will not be available in US. Only for European market. Source is reliable.

M3 fenders
Whereas the normal coupes and sedans have different front ends, all M3s share the same front-end with widened plastic fenders adapted from the standard coupe. This allowed BMW to avoid the cost of developing a second front end for the M3 sedan.

scott26 was recently quoted as saying that this color is Interlagos Blue but WITHOUT the metallic flake.

Anyway, I still think the fenders on this LTW will remain same as the stock M3 (not CF). |
