Should fit, there are ppl running a bigger 6p caliper with 380mm disc and no problems with the 359M wheels.
Can someone please measure the F8x front disc (380mm) lug hole diameter?

Further, the OE flat hex bolt for the wheel bearings is 60mm in length. Wouldn't the recommended 45mm length ball seat if using E9x wheel hubs be too short??
Edit: compared some pics of where the bearing seats on each spindle and how much of the fastener shank protrudes, plus if there's any differences in thickness of the hub's mating surface to spindle surface. The F8x, along with ball seat is much deeper hence why a 10mm (or 15mm, realoem specifies both a 55 or 60mm for E8x/E9x M) shorter bolt works fine. Also, early F8x can be 1.5mm thread as well. There was a split around 2017, best to test with what hub you currently have. if new, they should accept be 1.25mm thread. I wonder if anyone doing this also checked their track widths and ofc camber/caster with the standard upright part numbers.

I am thinking of doing this swap. Can anyone confirm if these will work with OEM M359 wheels? I happen to run a square set up with 19x10ET25 at all for corners.
Thanks in advance for confirmation. I am scheduled to pick up a set this weekend but will pass if they won't work with my wheels. |

Are you talking about the 5x120 bolt circle? The smaller bolt circle started with the G generation cars, F8x still uses a 5x120 mm bolt circle (but 14x1.25 lug bolts) and 72.56 mm hub diameter.

https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1437911 and https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...highlight=M359 And these 2 blog posts showing F8X M3/M4 brakes on the E9X M3 chassis: https://www.expressivedrives.com/blog/f8x-brakes-to-f9x and https://www.expressivedrives.com/blo...e-set-and-back I found a great condition set (20k miles, non tracked) of F80 calipers, rotors, and pads locally for a good price and have gone ahead and purchased them. Plan to put them on this Spring. |

Im thinking to change my rear wheel bearings and hub and upgrade to the F8X M3 including rear dust shield. I want to confirm the following:
1) rear dust shield from F8X is plug and play to our rear wheel carrier? 2) should I get new parking brake pads from F8X or E9X M3? 3) is the rear wheel bearing and hub from the F8X compatible with our E9X M3 carrier? Or do I get the bearing from the E9X M3 and the hub from the F80… Thanks in advance! |

Not answering all those questions because I do not know but by going with the adapters feels like you can skip solving a few of them Last edited by Oscar_Call; 03-05-2024 at 03:25 PM.. |
