Daytona in 2013. Glanced the rear view at 11:48 and took my eyes off the apex for a second. My first real Oh S*** moment. I've learned a lot since then...

Question to anyone: Where do you guys learn how to recover when the rear goes sideways? Would it just be events that have their skid pad in use? I'd love to be able to turn off DSC, but without experience of knowing how to save the car I don't think I'll ever be able to.

Also, which hosts allow you to let the rears go? I know some groups will black flag you if you do so excessively so I'd probably want to avoid them when I try your method of learning car control. Thanks man!

If that is your goal you need to hit the skid pad. There are generally about 20 cars on track most DE days, so it would be quite dangerous for you and anyone near you to go out there and hoon it up.
