Flat tire...
The mobility kit is a piece of junk!! And why does it say run flat all over it? Maybe I missed something but I was pretty sure that these weren't run flats. Really need a spare tire!

Some people hate the RFT so much, they swap them out for 'normal' tires. The mobility kit can only patch a hole up to a certain size, otherwise, you're out of luck! And, if you have the TMPS installed, you might gunk that one up enough so you need a new one.
Close reading of the sidewall on the tires installed will tell you what you have installed. |

M3s shouldn't have RFTs but I've seen dealer-bought used cars with them installed. But yes the mobility goop will often make the tire irreparable, so unless I'm out in the boonies I'd sooner call roadside assistance.

I was pretty far out, and have insurance, so didn't care if I messed them up (terrible

People have posted up threads listing all the parts you need for a spare tire & your own tire change kit. Note that the spare they used probably only clears stock brakes.
I'd do it if I ever drove this car out of town to anywhere besides track events. For those, I have my aluminum jack and 4 full-size spare tires in the back seat. And a tank of nitrogen. So, no incentive, really. If I got a flat in town, I'd use the compressor to see if I could add enough air to limp home. If not, I'd call for a tow.
