when I first got my car Id wash it once per week. Now two years and two months later I wash it once in a while. Currently it has been 1 month since its last bath. Shes a pig..
No excuses, just got lazy. Plus now I have an AC joint injury from weight lifting which gets really agrevated from the circular or sideways motion when sponging or drys the car.

Every 1-2 weeks, I live in Germany and the weather is nasty. If I was in a better environment I would probably have longer intervals. I think that cleaning it every 1-2 weeks is excessive.

Once a month. That's what VentureShield recommends for cars that have their clear bra on. Yes, I wish my car was clean more often, but it gets dirty literally days after a wash (if I'm lucky) and I'm only willing to put so much time, effort, and cash into such a losing battle. I figure once a month is sufficient to get the longer-term benefits of taking car of the exterior.

About once a week sometimes every two weeks. I'm very intimidating and I think that keeps most of dirt from getting on my car.

There are quick detailer sprays that are great for in-between washes.
http://www.autogeek.net/quickdetail.html
Also great taking off bird poo, just keep a bottle and a microfiber towel in the glovebox

I've been using ONR Wash for a while now and love. I'm about to go try ONR Wash and Wax for the first time right now. Anyone else use this stuff?

I used to use ONR wash and wax, pretty quick and the wax keeps the car looking clean.

Lately I've been using Chemical Guys Eco Wash using the 2 bucket method, an MF sponge, and 2 big woolly mammoth MF towels to dry along with Chemical Guys Hybrid V7 that I use as a drying aid and sealant/ gloss enhancer.

This takes me 30 minutes to wash the car and a total of 45 min if i do the wheels and interior as well.

What also helps is the fact that the car is sealed with Chemical Guys M Seal after I detailed it which also helps to extend the time between washes. Also its garaged as well.

Its been a week and a half since my last wash and its still pretty clean so far

Washing too frequently puts it at risk for Swirls and scratches. When it was new I'd wash it once a month, now 3 years later I wash it once a quarter. I take bird shit off the same day or when I notice it

Washing too frequently puts it at risk for swirls and scratches if you're improperly washing and using incorrect methods. You can wash your car however many times you wish and not instill scratches/swirls as long as you use the proper methods

Once or twice a week depending on how dirty she is and whether there are things that need to be removed immediately.

I dont waste my time on wheels though.

All this depends how and when we drive our car,i don't drive the car in winter time, snow and roadsalt i don't want to see on my car,now i drive her because it's summer time, and how faster i drive how quicker she get dirty from the dust and insects(bugs) on the front and windshield of the car.
After 3-4 day's of driving her fast the complete front is black of these crushed insects and on Silverstone II we can this see very well and that is the start of the next hand wash ,and sometimes i want to wash her but i don't find the time and need go to work .

I have washed my car using soap and water only about 4-5 times in over 2 years of ownership. I use Griot's Spray On Car Wash with their deep pile mircofiber cloths about every 2 weeks. My paint is still flawless. Best of all, when you buff it dry, you have a beautiful finish already. I swear by this stuff. You can use it as often as you want. Now, if you have splattered on thick muck then, by all means, do a water wash, but for regular road grime and rain spray, the Griot's gives spectacular results.

Before this M3, I took all my cars to Car Washes with Hand Drying. Now I hand wash my M3 once a week or every other week by myself. And each time has been 2-3 hours. At times I feel like I am wasting my time and paying too much attention to the M3, but when it is clean and shiny, it's all worth. My work truck? Almost never...

+1 That's why i start always first with the wheels, otherwise the car is already dried up and get waterspots .
And after the handwash i use this>>>http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=838860
